Tai Chi - This course presents standing and movement techniques which will include the beginning sequence of the Yang Style Tai Chi form as well as Qi Gong techniques for the spine, joints and over all health. These techniques have many benefits for health and wellbeing including flexibility, stress reduction and balance.
Qi Gong - This class is a quieter sitting practice in which will also explore Taoist Meditation & Seasonal Qi Gong. The basis of this class is a seasonal practice that will help harmonize the internal energy with the external seasonal changes by using movements and breath work. This practice incorporates the Five Element Theory which is the bassis of Chinese Traditional Medicine.
Grandmaster William C.C. Chen Tai Chi Workshop

Grandmaster William C. C. Chen will return this year for a workshop on “The Body Mechanics of Tai Chi Chaun”. The workshop will have sessions for all levels of experience. Do not miss this opportunity to study with one of the greatest internationally renowned Tai Chi teachers. Mark the date now! For the 12th consecutive year The Tai Chi Center is pleased to be able to sponsor a workshop on the body mechanics of Tai Chi Chaun with Grandmaster William C.C. Chen. This event is the highlight of the training year at The Tai Chi Center. Grandmaster Chen is consistently impressive in his ability to deeply understand the internal principles of Tai Chi Chaun and to explain them in a way that can be easily understood by all. This workshop is presented as a series of 50 minute classes. In the 10:00am form class we will focus primarily on the health aspect and developing the internal principles of Tai Chi Chaun. This class will be of great benefit to all levels beginner to advanced. The 1:00pm forms class will focus on developing the martial aspects and body mechanics of Tai Chi Chaun. This class will be a benefit to all students. These body mechanics principles develop martial power and speed but they can also be applied to day to day activities.
